A 21-year-old TSA agent was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 79-year-old airline passenger at Florida’s Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
Janiyah Wilson-Robinson is accused of “forcefully pushing” a woman to the ground on Wednesday as the victim waited to board a JetBlue flight, according to local ABC affiliate WPLG. It’s unclear what led to the conflict.
The unidentified passenger reportedly suffered minor bruising when she hit her forehead on the floor. She declined hospitalization and safely reached her destination in California.
Wilson-Robinson was arrested and charged with aggravated battery on a person 65 or older. She was released on bond Thursday night and placed on administrative leave pending an investigation, reported WPLG reported.
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is located just outside Fort Lauderdale and 21 miles north of Miami.
