A Kansas man was taken into custody in Florida for threatening political pundit Ben Shapiro and two U.S. presidents.

Korby Aaren Strube, 29, is accused of expressing his intentions to kill Shapiro more than 20 times on X between July 31 and Aug. 2.

The Palm Beach Post reports authorities were made aware of multiple threats against Shapiro by the Daily Wire founder’s private security team. He and his family reportedly have a Palm Beach home.

Authorities allege Strube’s posts included a menacing countdown to the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, which starts Sunday. One of his messages quoted by Palm Beach station WPBF said, “I’ll give the world a boost by killing Ben for being Jewish.”

The suspect reportedly told a U.S. Secret Service special agent he wrote the posts in question.

Shapiro is said to have told investigators that he suspects the threats against him “were motivated, at least in part, by his Jewish faith.”

He told the Christian Broadcasting Network in an interview posted Wednesday that he has employed round-the-clock security for the past decade.

“Security is a real concern,” he said.

Shapiro’s critics take issues with many of his conservative positions, including stating his belief that being transgender is a mental illness, according to ABC News. He’s also an outspoken advocate for Israel.

WPBF reported Strube also made threats against President Trump and former President Barack Obama. The nature of those messages isn’t clear.

Court records show Strube was arrested Saturday. He’s being represented by a public defender.
