A source is shedding light on Rihanna’s reaction to the “terrifying” incident outside her Beverly Hills home, where a Florida woman allegedly fired 10 gunshots from an automatic rifle Sunday afternoon.

One source told People that the “Disturbia” pop star, 38, “is freaking the f out” after 35-year-old Ivanna Lisette Ortiz allegedly used an AR-15 style weapon to fire at the mansion from her vehicle, and ultimately fled prior to her arrest. No one was injured, the Los Angeles Police Department previously confirmed to the Daily News.

Ortiz was charged with attempted murder Monday and is being held on over $10 million bail, LAPD confirmed to the News.

The Grammy winner “was initially confused” when she “heard the shots,” in what turned out to be a “terrifying” situation, said another insider.

“Even with a great security team in place, it’s scary to realize that something like this can still happen,” they said.

That source said Rihanna, who resides with partner A$AP Rocky and their three children, aged 6 months to 3 years, “doesn’t understand why someone would target her family.”

Sons RZA and Riot, as well as daughter Rocki, were all reportedly at home during the shooting, sources told TMZ.

Even without any injuries, the incident appears to have shaken the pop star-turned-billionaire beauty tycoon enough that she felt the need to leave town.

TMZ published images Monday of Rihanna gearing up for a flight from a local airport.

TMZ reports that Ortiz lost custody of her young child in 2024, and was prohibited from any contact whatsoever, including phone or email.

Sometime before 2023, Ortiz was reportedly involuntary committed through the Sunshine State’s Baker Act, with her ex-husband’s lawyer telling TMZ that Ortiz “does bizarre things” though she presents as “articulate” and “very convincing.”

Ortiz was also reportedly arrested at some point for domestic violence while she was on probation.
