DETROIT — Detroit rocker Jack White has signaled the kickoff of a new era, releasing two new singles on Friday, ahead of his appearance with Jack Black on Saturday's episode of "SNL."

"G.O.D. And the Broken Ribs" and "Derecho Demonico" hit streaming services early Friday. They are White's first new recordings since the release of his "No Name" project in 2024.

Limited-edition tri-color and black 7-inch vinyl editions of the single go on sale Saturday at White's Third Man Records shop in Detroit, as well as Third Man locations in Nashville, Tennessee, and London and online at thirdmanrecords.com, according to a press release. Black 7-inch vinyl records will be distributed to independent record stores worldwide beginning next week.

"G.O.D. And the Broken Ribs" is a raggedy rocker with mentions of the Garden of Eden and the end of the world (and the beginning of a new world), "Derecho Demonico" comes alive with a spacey instrumental breakdown, a squealing guitar solo and howling organ stabs.

Together, the two singles — produced by White and featuring Patrick Keeler on drums, Dominic Davis on bass and Bobby Emmet on keys — constitute a fuller, more experimental sound than the stripped-down, back-to-basics rawness of the "No Name" material, which was surprise-released at Third Man stores ahead of its official release.

White, 50, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in November 2025 as a member of the White Stripes.
