Tom Holland is a "real advocate" for the cinema experience.

The 29-year-old actor has become one of Hollywood's most sought-after talents in recent years, and Tom is determined to throw his support behind traditional cinema, explaining that he's "very focused on" the cause.

Tom - who has reprised the role of Peter Parker to star in Spider-Man: Brand New Day - told GQ magazine: "I am a real advocate for theatrical and the cinema and the communal experience of sitting in a dark room and being entertained. And I think there are some studios that do a better job of that than others, and I'm really keen to build relationships with those guys so that as a community, we can keep the cinemas going.

"I think that that is something for the next 10 years of my life that I will be very focused on."

Meanwhile, Tom previously claimed that fame is a "balancing act".

The actor has become a global star since joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he admits that there are pros and cons to being famous.

He said on the Dish podcast: "It's like a constant balancing act. And it's just about being aware of what's being said, but not allowing that to really influence, like, who you are as a person. People always say, like, oh, you shouldn't change and stuff, but I think change is good.

"You know, there are some people that I think should change a lot. But I think that, I don't know. It's just about being malleable. And it's about being able to adapt to what's happening in the time. I've said before, I use this thing all the time and it's like, if you have a problem with me, text me, and if you don't have my number, you don't know me well enough to have a problem with me."
