U2 teams with Jack White's Third Man Records for new album

DETROIT — U2 is teaming up with Jack White's Third Man Records for a special edition vinyl pressing of its new album, "Carnaval de Luz," the band's reps announced Wednesday.
The legendary Irish rock band, currently celebrating its 50th year, has joined forces with Third Man for a special independent record store edition pressing of the new set, which is due out Nov. 13.
The Third Man variant of the album comes in a yellow and black sleeve and is pressed on yellow vinyl. The set, which was unveiled on Wednesday, was created specifically for independent music retailers.
The album is U2's 16th studio album and first album of all new material since 2017's "Songs of Experience."
A preorder of the album went live on Third Man's site on Wednesday, priced at $39.98, and quickly sold out. The album is currently available for preorder on Dearborn Music's website.
Jack White's connections with U2 go back to the 2008 documentary "It Might Get Loud," which featured White alongside U2's the Edge and Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page.
White later covered U2's "Acthung Baby" track, "Love is Blindness," for the soundtrack to 2013's "The Great Gatsby."
