Nicole Taylor of country triplet trio Taylor Red dead at 35 after cancer battle

Nicole Taylor, a member of the country music group Taylor Red, has died four years after she was diagnosed with breast cancer, according to her family. She was 35.
Her triplet sisters and fellow Taylor Red band members, Nika and Natalie Taylor, shared the sad news in a video posted to social media on Monday. They said Nicole died at her home in Nashville, Tennessee, on Sept. 29.
“We are shocked and heartbroken to announce the passing of our sister,” Nika and Natalie Taylor said. “She’s at peace and no longer suffering, so we’re thankful for that.”
The sisters also shared a 10-minute YouTube video, in which they further opened up about Nicole’s death. They revealed she was the oldest of the three, writing in the caption that she was “our leader and our best friend. We are heartbroken, but we know she is in Heaven and we will see her again.”
Nicole was initially diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in 2022 and it eventually progressed to Stage 4 before her death, her sisters said. But she didn’t let any of it get her down, they added, revealing that she “even did CrossFit while she was with her chemo treatments.” And for a time, the treatment appeared to be working, but in the end, it was not enough to get rid of the cancer.
“Then after that she was told it turned into stage four,” Natalie said. “She tried not to live in fear, remained really hopeful. She traveled, she tried to live life, she worked really hard, she tried to have fun.”
Doctors gave her three months to live at the time, but she survived for another year.
The redheaded triplets were born in Mississippi on March 18, 1991. They first started making music together in 2010 under the name Red Roots before ultimately rebranding as Taylor Red, and later moving to Nashville. They also found fame on social media, after their song “Country Money” went viral in 2021.
