'BRING HER BACK'

Rated R for strong disturbing bloody violent content, some grisly images, graphic nudity, underage drinking and language.

What it’s about: A pair of orphaned step-siblings end up in foster care with a terrifying guardian who has plans for a dark ritual involving them.

The kid attractor factor: This bleak horror movie doesn't have appeal for kids.

Good lessons/bad lessons: If you see the red flags, run. Grief can drive someone mad.

Violence: Some extreme grisly images and bloody violence, involving children.

Language: Swearing

Sex: Male frontal nudity.

Drugs: Teen binge drinking.

Parents’ advisory: Too violent and disturbing for kids, OK for adults only.

'KARATE KID: LEGENDS'

 

Rated PG-13 for martial arts violence and some language.

What it’s about: A kung fu student moves from China to New York and starts to train with two legendary teachers while teaching a few things himself.

The kid attractor factor: Kids will be drawn to the age-appropriate protagonist and story as well as the humor and action.

Good lessons/bad lessons: You can't deny who you are. Deal with it before it deals with you.

Violence: Martial arts violence and boxing, in the streets and in the ring. A stabbing.

Language: Some strong language.

Sex: None

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: Fine for older kids and teens. May be a bit much for little kids.
