What it’s about: A group of intrepid sheep set out to solve the murder of their shepherd by using the skills they've learned through mystery novels that he reads to them.

The kid attractor factor: The animated sheep are a draw, of course, as well as the warm, humorous tone.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Remembering hurts sometimes, but it's also important to preserve the memories of our loved ones. No one should be left behind or feel left out of a flock.

Violence: Some perilous situations, as well as a dead body.

Language: Some strong language but not much.

What it’s about: The sequel to "Mortal Kombat" sees Kitana and Johnny Cage joining the tournament to save the Earthrealm from the evil Shao Kahn.

The kid attractor factor: Teens might be drawn to this martial arts video game adaptation.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Fight for your honor, family and others, but not just to amass power.

Violence: Extreme bloody and gory violence throughout.

Language: Swearing throughout.

Sex: None

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: Way too violent and bloody for kids, OK for mature teens and adults.
